Olivera Habibovic
(Port Moody Arts Association)

Since childhood, Olivera Habibovic has had a profound passion for the arts. For over three decades, she has explored various mediums, including acrylic, watercolours and mixed media. She has created nearly 200 unique paintings that eloquently capture the beauty of nature. Her paintings aim to capture the most beautiful and happy moments in life.

Following an extensive career in interior decorating and painting, Olivera embarked on a new journey: teaching. She led an art and craft program catered to school-aged children for over 20 years. Recently, she founded and started teaching and hosting paint events in her community. Through this she leads engaging painting socials for groups of 10-15 individuals, offering an approachable avenue for creative expression. In addition, Olivera is a member of the Port Moody Arts Association, contributing to the enrichment of the local artistic community.

“My art is a visual representation of my inner passion for nature and my love for the Dalmatian coast and the Mediterranean Sea. They capture a snapshot of nature usually combined with abstract elements bursting with life. I am often inspired by a memory of my past, and daily energies and interactions with my friends, family and garden.”
