Outpost is a community space, partnered with Timbertrain coffee, located in Port Moody, built around the idea that great things happen when people gather. Our open, welcoming environment encourages conversation, creativity, and connection. More than just a café, Outpost hosts events, pop-ups, and art showcases—creating space for local makers, artists, and neighbors to come together and share what they love. Whether you’re here to work, unwind, or discover something new, there’s always a place for you at Outpost.

Artist
Kathryn Gibson
I make art because this is how I speak to others, this is how I speak to myself. My marks are scratched on canvas, paper, clay or recycled materials.
Consider these marks an alternative language. The marking comes from trying to capture a moment in time, for as the brush touches the paper, in that moment time is still.
Medium: Painting

Nina Koba
My art is a dialogue between nature, emotion, and the passage of time. Through oil painting, I capture the raw energy of storms, the fleeting beauty of flowers, and the quiet stories hidden in landscapes. Inspired by the ever-changing sky and the delicate balance of light and shadow, my work explores themes of impermanence, resilience, and memory.
I am particularly drawn to the forces of nature—whether the powerful turbulence of the Caribbean Sea or the soft, meditative presence of cherry blossoms in Vancouver. Each brushstroke is an attempt to preserve a moment, to translate feeling into form, and to invite the viewer into a world where time slows.
