The Frantic Breeze Fast Film Competition took place over 72 hours during the summer of 2022. Participating teams were asked to create 4 - 7 minute films in 3 days using 3 essential elements. These elements, revealed on the first day of the competition, were based on Port Moody themes, locations, history and art.

Frantic Breeze Film Competition began as an idea and subcommittee at the City of Port Moody's Arts & Culture Committee 2021/2022 . Committee member,Tracey Schaeffer, was instrumental in making this event a great success! The City provided a funding grant in the amount of $6400. This made cash prizes and event expenses possible.
